Board and committee leaders volunteer their time to lead and manage ANA Business Marketing of Northern California (formerly NORCAL BMA). ANA Business Marketing of Northern California Board Members serve the needs of the Northern California B2B marketing communications community in a myriad ways, overseeing activities and programs, planning and organizing marketing seminars, and upholding the highest professional standards in B2B marketing. Their experience, expertise and commitment bring exceptional value to our organization.

Tanya Salah


Tanya Salah

Tanya Salah has served on the ANA Business Marketing NorCal Board of Directors in different capacities since 2015, initially in the role of Director, then Vice President of the Happy Hour Roundtables Events that became known widely as the flagship event of the ANA Business Marketing NorCal chapter. In her role, Tanya worked closely with sponsors, speakers, the community and the Board to create valuable programming and content for ANA Business Marketing. Most recently, Tanya is proudly serving as President.

Tanya has over 20 years of strategic sales experience in the technology publishing, social media, research and demand generation sectors at organizations including, Mashable, Geeknet, Ziff Davis, True Influence and NetLine, where she earned awards including top revenue producer, sales innovator of the year, salesperson of the year.

Currently, Tanya serves as Strategic Sales Director at Activate Marketing Services, LLC, an award winning b2b demand generation services provider.

An alumna of the University of San Francisco, in off hours (and sometimes on hours), Tanya can be found surfing and sailing the beautiful waters of Monterey Bay near her home in Santa Cruz, CA.

Bob Samuels

Bob Samuels is a seasoned 20+ year B2B marketer, analyst, and co-founder of TechConnectr. He is a natural analyst/optimizer, connector, and advisor.  He has a finance background in publishing.

The TechConnectr Marketplace and the ABM Leaders’ Group are great examples of the ‘double-mitzvah’ connections/win-wins Bob takes pride in enabling.

Before co-founding TechConnectr, Bob co-founded Los Gatos-based NetLine Corporation, a leading digital B2B marketing solution provider. Bob was CFO and VP of performance management – overseeing and optimizing the execution of hundreds of B2B tech performance marketing programs.  He also headed-up partnerships and client satisfaction.  At QuinStreet and Ziff Davis/Salesify, Bob was responsible for creating and nurturing strategic relationships with a variety of best-in-class data and marketing solution providers. He has gotten to know, first-hand, best- (and worst-) lead gen practices.

Bob believes data (intelligence), proven processes, and strategic relationships are the secret behind lead gen success.

Venkat Raman


Venkat Raman

Venkat is a freelance direct response copywriter and marketing consultant specializing in B2B content and sales copy. He focuses on content marketing and email marketing for B2B technology companies. With over 30 years of experience as a software engineer and writer, Venkat has worked for a variety of clients, large and small. His clients include OTA Insight, DerbySoft, San Francisco Writers Conference, Tri-City Voice newspaper, and he has worked at Williams-Sonoma, AltaVista, Compaq, and Digital Equipment Corp among others. Venkat is a graduate of IIT Madras in Electrical Engineering and has picked up graduate degrees in Electrical Engineering (Stony Brook) as well as Computer Science (Penn State). Kristen Mower


Rebecca Falk

A creative, passionate, and strategic marketer who has been serving on the ANA Nor Cal board since 2020. Firstly focused on digital content and events and more recently in the role of partnerships. In addition to being a board member, Rebecca has also judged for the ANA Business Marketing awards.

Rebecca has worked in marketing on both the agency and client-side in both her native UK and now in the US as Senior Engagement Director for Retina - a global digital and communications agency headquartered in San Francisco. In that role, Rebecca is responsible for overseeing strategic client relationships in the United States. Over her nearly 15-year career, she has led client engagements with the likes of Juniper Networks, Zendesk, Oracle, Riverbed, Boeing, Korn Ferry, Thermo Fisher Scientific and the State University of New York, to name a few.

Rebecca has a natural ability to tie marketing strategy to business strategy and excels in helping global B2B brands increase market share through her multi-award-winning campaigns.

An adventurer at heart Rebecca takes any opportunity she can to explore the world. This has seen her cycle down the worlds most dangerous road in Bolivia, trekking in Rwanda with the wild mountain gorillas, and more recently swimming from Alcatraz to San Francisco. When not parachuting out of planes, Rebecca loves being at home with her dog, Buddy, and cats Bowie and Ziggy.
