George C. McNutt Scholarship getting ready to be awarded
We had a great response with applications for our launch of the George C. McNutt Scholarship to deserving students in the Bay Area.
We are almost ready to announce the winners of the 2017 McNutt Scholarships.
What's holding us up?
Before we can announce the winners, we need to make sure that each of the winners gets the full advertised package. Specifically, we need to make sure there is a mentor assigned to each winner.
We need one more mentor.
As detailed in the launch announcement, the George C. McNutt Scholarship is open to select Bay Area students and includes a cash award of $1000, non-cash awards that add 1-on-1 mentorship, and also internship opportunities with Bay Area companies.
Note that we have waived our original requirement for the mentor to be a NorCal BMA member. Your interest in being a mentor is all that counts!
If you are interested in mentoring a bright student that wins this scholarship, please check the guidelines below and send an email to StrategicInitiatives@norcalbma.org and express your interest if you are able to fulfill this role.
