Carbon, Inc. had accomplished the seemingly impossible. They had developed a proprietary 3D printing technology that would enable them to manufacture parts that combine strong mechanical properties with a finish that is suitable for an end product. Previously it was possible to have one or the other, but not both. And Carbon could produce it at scale—essential for a true manufacturing regimen.

This wonder product would be inconsequential unless it was put to use—in widespread application.

A Silicon Valley native, Shanon Fernandez brings extensive knowledge in general marketing communications and content creation, on both agency and client-side, having lead both product launches and re-branding initiatives across B2C and B2B industries. Working agency side, Shanon’s experience ranges from developing media strategies across technology, travel, healthcare and for-profit education to venturing into Microsoft to lead global media strategy for Microsoft Lumia devices.

Her current role as Head of Brand Marketing at Carbon, Inc., provides the ultimate challenge on being able to create world-class B2B brand and marketing communications within an industry that has not been truly disrupted in more than 30 years.
